Jacob Coley, CPAJacob M. Coley is a tax accountant and partner at AFP. As a Certified Public Accountant, Jacob has served clients since 2011 when he took his first job in the field of public accounting at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP. Jacob specializes in tax return preparation, tax planning and business consulting for individuals and small businesses.
Jacob has a passion for supporting clients’ personal and business goals through thorough tax planning and business consulting. He looks to partner with his clients in a proactive way to help guide them through the complex tax code and how it relates to their business and personal financial decisions. Prior to joining the firm, Jacob was a manager at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP until 2018. Jacob graduated magna cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College in spring of 2011 with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and was a member of Beta Gama Sigma as well as a student athlete on the football team from 2007 – 2010. He met his wife, Judith Montalvo Coley, at the college in January of 2010 and their early courtship began on campus that year prior to being married in summer of 2012. Jacob is a member of Templo de Alabanza, a church in Acworth, GA where his in-laws are the pastors of the congregation. Jacob is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jacob spends most of his free time with his family (both nuclear and extended) and trying to find time to watch college football on fall weekends. He is a second amendment advocate and spends time shooting recreationally as a member of Governors Gun Club in Kennesaw, GA. Jacob and Judy live in Acworth, GA with their son and daughter, Lucas (2017) and Liliana (2020). |
